Monthly Coach Highlight – Olivia Centers, Rebate Coach

This month, we were able to sit down with one of our incredible Rebate Coaches, Olivia Centers, to talk about what brought her to Nexstar, what her average day looks like, and what’s most important to her.

Q: What brought you to Nexstar?

A: Nexstar was my first introduction to the trades!
Prior to this I worked in commercial project management. When I came to Nexstar, I was looking for a new adventure! My boss from my previous job had been working for Nexstar for about a year and only had good things to say about her experiences.

Q: What are some of the career milestones that have been important in guiding you to your role as a coach?

A: My five years of experience as a project manager taught me the value of flexibility, goal-setting, and attention to detail. The career experience I am most grateful for is my time teaching Pre-Kindergarten, as it helped me realize how much my cup is filled when I get to support others along their journey.

Q: What does your typical day look like as a coach?

A: Each day brings new opportunities, which is something I truly enjoy. I typically meet with 2-3 members daily to assist them in maximizing the benefits of the rebate program. Outside of these meetings, I engage with our network of 170+ Strategic Partners to explore how their expertise can support our members. Additionally, I manage various projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing our team’s ability to serve members effectively and deliver value.

Q: What’s the best part of your job, and why?

A: The best part of my job is getting to connect with passionate members every day and helping them achieve their goals.

Q: What’s one of your greatest superpowers?

A: Empathy is my greatest superpower, both personally and professionally. Leading with empathy allows me to build meaningful connections and provide effective support to others.

Q: What do you do to relax when you’re not at work?

A: When I’m not at work, you can usually find me puttering around in my gardens, reading a book, going to a concert, or trying a new restaurant with my husband and friends.

Q: What are some of your passions?

A: I am passionate about nature, food, and volunteering in my community. I also love supporting independent businesses, and I collect books and earrings made by local artists.
